In response to yesterday's decision by Allerdale Council's Planning Committee against the Westnewton wind farm proposal (by 2 votes to 12), Jeffrey Corrigan, Managing Director of Broadview Energy, said: “We are obviously very disappointed that the Council has chosen to refuse our application. We will carefully consider the reasons given by the Committee when we see the formal notice and will be considering the options open to us.”
The proposed Westnewton Wind farm application consists of three wind turbines that would have the capacity to generate electricity for several thousand homes in the region.For media enquiries, please contact:
