Community newsletters

Two newsletters have been distributed within the local community which have included information about Broadview, project proposals, project updates, development timelines and also news and event information.  The first newsletter was distributed in March 2010 and the second in July 2010.

Community consultation events

Three public consultation events have taken place since the project was announced.  The events allowed members of the local community the opportunity to find out more about Broadview and the proposals and also question members of the Broadview team.  The three events were as follows:

• Community consultation - 2nd March 2010, Marston St Lawrence Village Hall
• Community wind farm trip - 11th May 2010, Burton Wold wind farm
• Community exhibition - 13th July 2010, Helmdon Primary School

Community fund

If the project is approved and constructed, Broadview will set up a community fund that would support local community groups and projects with up to £750,000 over the wind farm's 25 year lifetime. Following commencement of construction, Broadview will set up a meeting with local parish councils and other interested groups to establish this fund.
