Broadview Energy, the developer behind the proposed Spring Farm Ridge renewable energy project, is inviting local residents to visit the Burton Wold wind farm, near Kettering, to gain first hand experience of operational wind turbines.

The trip has been arranged for Saturday 27th November, when residents will be taken to Burton Wold and given a tour around the wind farm by the landowner.  A coach will be provided by Broadview and will pick up registered attendees at 10am from Jeff's Coach Station in Helmdon, then at 10.15am from the village bus stop in Greatworth before a final pick up at 10.30am from the village bus stop in Sulgrave.

Any person who would like to attend the trip should register their interest by sending an email to info@springfarmridge.co.uk, or by calling the Broadview office on 0208 487 9150.  In addition, people can register their interest by logging on to the dedicated project website, www.springfarmridge.co.uk.  The website also contains additional information about the project, including all of the documentation submitted with the recent planning application to South Northamptonshire Council.

Olly Buck, Project Manager for Broadview Energy said; "This is the second time we have arranged a visit to the Burton Wold site and we hope that members of the local community will once again take the opportunity to come and see an operational wind farm.  The trip gives people the chance to listen to how the turbines sound and also see how they appear in the landscape.  More importantly, it enables people to inform their view on the Spring Farm Ridge project on the basis of seeing a working wind farm for themselves.  Members of the Broadview team will be on hand throughout the trip to answer any questions, including any that relate to our planning application for the Spring Farm Ridge site."
