Broadview Energy is considering the possibility of erecting wind turbines on land between the villages of Hilton and Seamer on the Stockton-on-Tees and North Yorkshire boundaries.
We have submitted scoping documents to both Stockton-on-Tees and Hambleton District Councils.

A typical 2MWe wind turbine (assuming a 30% load factor) should produce electricity to meet the average electrical demand for over 1,000 homes, and

displace 4,400 tonnes* of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year that would otherwise have been produced by a "load following" power station burning fossil fuel.
