What We Are Looking For?

Broadview is focussed on the development of small wind farms, typically between two and ten turbines, and therefore finds certain sites attractive, which larger developers may not.  We are interested in agricultural and light industrial properties that have the following characteristics:

• No residential dwellings within 400m
• Five to ten hectares and greater   
• Not situated or visible from sensitive tourist locations
• No airports within a close proximity
• Outside National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)
• Reasonable access for large vehicles

Land Usage Requirements.

A typical wind farm of five turbines might extend over an area of approximately 30 hectares, but only 1% of the land area would be taken out of use, the remainder can be used for other purposes, such as farming or as natural habitat.
