What are we looking for?
Broadview is focussed on the development of small wind farms, typically between two and ten turbines. As a small owner managed business we are able to work with landowners to tailor commercial arrangements and make sure the development process has a minimal impact on farming operations. We are interested in agricultural and light industrial properties that have the following characteristics:
- No residential dwellings within 400m
- Five to ten hectares and greater
- Not situated or visible from sensitive tourist locations
- No airports within a close proximity
- Outside National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)
- Reasonable access for large vehicles
If you own land that falls within this description, and are interested in earning revenue from the generation of clean sustainable energy, we would be pleased to discuss further the development process with you. Please feel free to contact us by phone or by email.
Land Usage Requirements.
A typical wind farm of five turbines might extend over an area of approximately 30 hectares, but only 1% of the land area would be taken out of use, the remainder can be used for other purposes, such as farming or as natural habitat.
