Turbine names

Following a competition between the children of Cultercullen Primary School in January 2010, the turbines were named in June 2010 as follows:

Turbine 1 - Angus (named by Iona Clark)
Turbine 2 - Zephyr (named by Ella White)
Turbine 3 - Turby (named by Ethan Cran & Paige Dow)

All pupils from the school enjoyed a day out at the wind farm where they found out about wind energy and the Hill of Fiddes wind farm.

Community fund update

We are currently working with members of the local community to set up the ‘Hill of Fiddes Community Fund’. This will fund community-based projects with particular focus on education and the environment. Broadview Energy will contribute £11,000 per year to the fund for the operational life of the wind farm. Please contact us if you have ideas for the fund.
