Broadview Energy is pleased to announce the launch of the Hill of Fiddes Community Fund, which is being established to benefit the local area in which the three turbine wind farm, near Cultercullen, Aberdeenshire, is located. Broadview will contribute £11,088 per year to the fund, throughout the operational life of the wind farm, which is expected to be twenty-five years.

Members of the local community are invited to find out more about the fund at a launch event planned for Monday 5th December 2011 at 7.30pm at Udny Station Community Centre, Ellon, AB41 6ZD.  The launch will see Broadview present a cheque for the fund value to date of £20,300, as well as appoint the Management Committee that will be responsible for administering the fund for the next twenty-five years.

The Management Committee will be made up of Community Council members, representatives from local schools and other community members.  Anyone wishing to apply for monies from the fund is invited to complete an application form which will be available during the event or from the following website http://foverannews.wordpress.com.

Lisa Ross, Community Relations Manager for Broadview Energy, said: “We are extremely pleased to be handing over a cheque for £20,300 and we look forward to the fund being put to good use locally.  The fund demonstrates our commitment to continued community involvement in the project and our desire to provide local communities with tangible benefits from hosting a wind farm.”
